Sometimes you just need a break from the multiple-choice question routine. Have a visual asset you can use? Make it a Hotspot question! These kinds of questions challenge your audiences in new ways and help keep your interactions feeling like real-world scenarios.

Tips:

  • All you need to get started is an image!
  • Get creative–you can actually make this a fun interaction.
  • You can require multiple selections (e.g. on a world map, select the 3 largest countries by population)–just remember to adjust the number of selections allowed.

Step 1: Create a quiz, then create a Hotspot question.

Step 2: Enter your question text, then upload your image, then add the hotspot where the correct answer is. You can use the box, but if you have a more complicated image, use the polygon selector to draw around the area that is correct.

Step 3: Enter text for the correct answers. Note that you can have more than one correct answer; just be sure to update the “maximum selections” to be whatever you want that max to be.

Step 4: Get creative, and have fun!
