The Drag & Drop question type allows users to interact with questions by dragging and dropping answer choices. It is a great way to engage your audience and make your quiz/survey fun and interactive. There are two Drag & Drop question types:

  • Drag/Drop Order (people have to put things in the correct order)
  • Drag/Drop Match (people have to correctly match up two lists)

Example of Drag/Drop Order:

Example of Drag/Drop Match:

To create a Drag/Drop question, simply go to the "Edit" tab and click on the “Add Question” button. Then select the "Drag/Drop" option you wish as Question Type:

If you choose to create a "Drag/Drop Order" question, enter your question into the "Question Text" field.

Then enter your answer text (required) and upload images (optional) in the answer fields. To add an image as an answer choice click on the image icon and select an image file from your computer:

You can choose to display the Drag/Drop Order question in one column. To do this, select 'One-Column Layout.' This option is useful if you have limited space to display the question or if you want to use it as a timeline question. Keep in mind that you cannot require the question when it is in one-column layout.

You have the option to select the 'Two-Column Layout' to prepopulate the right column with answer choices. This layout is ideal for maximizing space efficiency when using a drag-and-drop design, especially in areas with limited display space.

Tip: We recommend adding similar-sized images for the best visual look. Also, the picture height shouldn’t exceed 200px as taller pictures will be automatically downscaled.

Drag & Drop questions are easy to analyze. Although images won’t be displayed in Results Report, you will see the correct/incorrect answers (for Scored Quizzes) and the picture label (answer text) if labels were added. Keep in mind that to track each answer choice it is best to label it.
